I like this particular shot. Adrian has already seen Aryana in her other form, and in his subconscious, he’s actually fine with it. What gives him the fear though is the syokoy. It’s the syokoy that haunts him into a nightmare, not Aryana as a mermaid. It may appear from the outside that Ian is scared of Aryana, but deep down, from that moment when Aryana saved him, a special bond has been made.
